Vivek Vihar Metro to be full LED
Jaipur Metro is going to become the first metro of India
where the whole station would be full of LED. This is a work in progress and
soon there will be 1000 LED lights only on display on Vivek Vihar station. The
tenders of the work have been put out. The development cost is put at 14 lakh
rupees. Earlier Shyam Nagar metro station was reserved for women staff only and
now it is the world’s only female staff only oriented station.
8 lakh rupees of savings would be don't on electricity each
year by this move -
At present there are 1000 lights on display at Vivek Vihar
station which includes Tube lights, CFL, Halogen and bulbs. These all will be
replaced by LED lights and this will save electricity and give more bright
light. For this purpose no fitting would be broken but LED’s would be replaced
in their place. There will be no extra cost included in this work. O&S
director claims that such metro station is not in any other place in the
country. After Vivek Vihar LED lights would be put in phase 2 metro areas badi
and choti chaupar.
